It takes sensitivity and a deep commitment to changing people’s working environment for the better to successfully manage a Section 54 investigation.

This was uppermost in our minds when VBKOM was recently appointed to assist the officials of the South32 Wessels Manganese Mine in Hotazel to review the engineering and mine design aspects surrounding their recent mine fatality.

The investigation that we conducted also considered evaluating the residual risk potential of various remedial recommendations.
