The work undertaken included an assessment of the existing mining operation and to update the Medium-Term-Plan (MTP) for the current operation while considering the long-term and short-term requirements.

The work programme incorporated the key activities and outputs identified for the assignment, including delivering a Mining Block Model, Reviewing the existing LTP, Pushback Designs, Waste Rock Dump Designs, Production Scheduling, Monthly Reconciliations, Truck Allocation, and Fleet Size Estimation.

The technical methodology considered the characteristics and requirements applicable to Manganese Surface Mining in South Africa, with due consideration given to the operating context, available project information and relevant study parameters. The work was coordinated to maintain consistency across the technical inputs, activities and outputs, while keeping the assignment aligned with the agreed project objective and intended use of the results.

All technical activities and deliverables were coordinated to support a consistent approach and remain aligned with the project objectives. The resulting work brought together the required analysis, documentation and communication in a clear and structured manner. This provided the client with a practical basis for reviewing the findings, making informed decisions and progressing the project into its next stage.
