The scope of work was to the scope involved providing specialist engineering and project management support for the design, procurement, and commissioning of a mobile alluvial gold washing plant. Key activities and outputs included Technical Design & Specification, the delivery of detailed engineering requirements to ensure the plant achieved optimal gold recovery from alluvial deposits. VBKOM provided Procurement & Commissioning Support, which included the management of the supply chain and on-site setup to bring the plant into successful production within the required timelines.
The assessment was undertaken within the specific context of a Gold mining operation in South Africa, allowing the technical work to reflect the project's operating environment, study requirements and intended outcomes.
The assignment was managed as an integrated body of work, ensuring alignment between the technical inputs, activities undertaken and resulting outputs. Throughout the project, the work remained focused on the agreed objectives and the intended application of the findings. Technical analysis was supported by structured documentation and clear communication, resulting in a practical and transparent body of work that the client could review and use to inform subsequent project decisions and activities.
