Getting the Mahenge Graphite Project Ready to Operate

The scope of work was to provide an Operational Readiness Plan (ORP) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the Mahenge Graphite Project located in Tanzania. The work programme incorporated the key activities and outputs identified for the assignment, including Operational Readiness Philosophy, Policy, Processes and Procedures Definition Construction integration Technology Establishment.

The technical approach was applied within the context of Graphite Surface Mining in Tanzania, ensuring that the project-specific operating and study environment remained central to the assessment. The analysis was developed to support practical decision-making, with technical inputs reviewed and integrated so that planning, design, scheduling or option-selection decisions could be considered on a consistent basis.

The final scope therefore combined technical analysis with clear documentation and structured communication, providing the client with a practical, reviewable basis for progressing the project or the next stage of work.
