The project involved preparing and supporting technical reporting work aligned to the stated reporting requirement. VBKOM was tasked with Delivering specialist Competent Person support and technical advisory services for Mineral Resource and Reserve reporting activities associated with a large-scale rutile mining operation. The engagement included geological interpretation, resource validation, reporting support, and alignment with international reporting standards to support operational planning and investor confidence.
The work programme was structured around the technical activities necessary to complete the stated assignment and consolidate the available information into usable project outputs.
The assessment was undertaken within the specific context of a Rutile Surface Mining project in Sierra Leone, allowing the technical work to reflect the project's operating environment, study requirements and intended outcomes. Particular attention was given to traceability of technical inputs, internal consistency and the clear presentation of assumptions, findings and supporting information for review and sign-off where required.
All technical activities and deliverables were coordinated to support a consistent approach and remain aligned with the project objectives. The resulting work brought together the required analysis, documentation and communication in a clear and structured manner. This provided the client with a practical basis for reviewing the findings, making informed decisions and progressing the project into its next stage.
