Integrating Quarry Mine Planning and Project Delivery

VBKOM has been delivering Mining Engineering services to AfriSam since 2008. These engagements focus on Mining Eningeering Services, Mine Planning, and Project Management. The work programme was structured around the technical activities necessary to complete the stated assignment and consolidate the available information into usable project outputs.

The assessment was undertaken within the specific context of an Industrial Minerals Surface Mining project located in South Africa, allowing the technical work to reflect the project's operating environment, study requirements and intended outcomes. The analysis was developed to support practical decision-making, with technical inputs reviewed and integrated so that planning, design, scheduling or option-selection decisions could be considered on a consistent basis.

The final scope therefore combined technical analysis with clear documentation and structured communication, providing the client with a practical, reviewable basis for progressing the project or the next stage of work. Where information required interpretation, the available data and existing project material were considered together to support a proportionate and technically grounded response.
