After a feasibility study was completed for the client by a third party, the project was delayed, and due to the critical nature of the project, an urgent intervention is required for an in-depth assessment to be performed by an objective consultancy firm, of all Project Management areas to ascertain the reasons for the delays. Further to this, a detailed project recovery plan was required to bring the project back on track.

The assessment had to be conducted on-site, and reviews of the planned against actual construction had to be conducted. This included an update of the master schedule, as well as contractor schedules, and to align the clients budgetary limitations against expenditure.

VBKOM delivered a project recovery plan for the critical work to be completed by the client's on-site contractors.

Throughout the assignment, the technical work was coordinated to ensure consistency between the project inputs, analyses and deliverables. Activities were undertaken with the agreed project objectives and future requirements in mind, ensuring that the outputs remained relevant and usable. The final documentation brought the technical findings together in a structured format, providing the client with a clear foundation for review, decision-making and progression into subsequent phases of work.
