Aquila Resources required specialist risk management and project support as part of an integrated owner’s team for a greenfield manganese project.
Managing the project's administrative and strategic framework to ensure the complex feasibility study remained on track within a highly compressed non-month timeline, with emphasis on robust technical analysis, stakeholder alignment, and decision support.
Key activities and outputs included Project Controls: development and active management of a comprehensive project schedule to coordinate various specialist workstreams (Environmental, Geology, Processing, and Engineering), as well as estalishing a Risk Management Framework.
Consideration was given to the specific operating environment associated with Manganese Surface Mining in South Africa, ensuring that the technical assessment remained relevant to the conditions and requirements of the project.
All technical activities and deliverables were coordinated to support a consistent approach and remain aligned with the project objectives. The resulting work brought together the required analysis, documentation and communication in a clear and structured manner. This provided the client with a practical basis for reviewing the findings, making informed decisions and progressing the project into its next stage.
