Validating Copper–Cobalt Reserves Across African Operations

VBKOM delivered technical mining and reserve estimation support for copper-cobalt operations across Central and Southern Africa. Services included reserve validation, mining engineering input, technical reporting support, and strategic advisory services for operational and investment decision-making.

Technical activities were organised to address the requirements of the assignment and ensure that the available project information was effectively incorporated into the resulting deliverables.

Project-specific conditions associated with Cobalt & Copper Surface Mining in the DRC and Zambia were incorporated into the technical approach, ensuring that the assessment remained grounded in the realities of the operation and its study environment.

A coordinated approach was followed to ensure that the various technical inputs and activities contributed meaningfully to the overall project objective. Particular emphasis was placed on producing outputs that were technically sound, clearly documented and appropriate for their intended use.
