Sehlare Sa Meetlwa
I was born and raised in Cullinan by the best and most loving parents that a child can ask for. I have an older sister and brother, and I am proud to say that I am happily married to my life partner and best friend.
I started my career as a Claims Clerk at an Insurance company in Centurion, worked myself all the way up as an Accounts Clerk. I wanted to become a lawyer, but then I decided that I like figures more than law…
In March 2012 I joined VBKom as an Administration Assistant, and in 2013 I got promoted to Bookkeeper.
I am currently completing my Higher Certificate in Economics and Management Sciences; thereafter I will complete my BCom at UNISA.
I am a strategic, multidisciplinary IT Administrator with an eye for innovation and computer perfection. I was 15 when I got my first computer. Then I started writing funny tweets, and that’s what I am doing still! I was born in a small township called Saulsville, west of Pretoria. When I finished high school at Elmar College, I pursued my passion for computers at College Campus to obtain a Diploma in IT Networking. I soon discovered I could get international certifications for my skills so I obtained a Comptia A+ and N+ certification at Torque IT Pretoria. I’ve worked with a gamut of computers from Dell, HP and Toshiba, and although my skill set is vast, my greatest expertise revolve in the worlds of interactive communication and networks. My wish is to combine my knowledge and experience in these areas, to deliver the best creative and innovative computer technology services to my employer and clients.
I also have a fun side, especially on weekends, when I browse around the entertainment region of Pretoria city lights with my friends. I enjoy food, drinks and outdoor activities like go-karts, paintball, clay pigeon shooting and car racing. When it comes to food, Omnivore is my second name and I mean I can eat almost anything, although meat is my favourite. I have to work off the food somehow, so I spend most of my time after work at the gym!
I qualified from the North-West University with a Baccalaureus Atrium in Communication. Through my strong administrative and communication skills, I have been utilized as an office administrator within the C&I, Civil Engineering and now Mining Engineering industries.
I have been involved in the adoption and eventual implementation of Quality Management Systems since 2010, and am currently focused on furthering my knowledge of the ISO 9000 set of standards. I recently completed an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor course through SGS, and wish to further this passion I have for Quality Management to become an ISO 9001:2015 External Auditor.
Systemizing and strategizing speaks directly to how I take on any challenge. I believe that if you have a clear plan, you will be able to follow through on each project, challenge and objective. I am a firm believer in measuring twice to only cut once.
I am charismatic, passionate and creative in all aspects of my work and home life. I love learning for the sake of acquiring new skills, and it is a personal goal to learn at least one new skill per year. In my downtime, my husband and I like to entertain friends and family, visiting various local food markets or just relaxing in each other’s company.
